To deserve the beautiful view of Vallon Pont d'Arc and the beginning of the Ardèche gorges you must first climb. Once you get to the top everything is well marked. The hiking trail passes through the ruins of The Chastelas - an ancient castle that was destroyed in 1628 during a war.
Parts of the castle such as the tower or the pottery are still clearly visible.
The prettiest view is at the very top - from this place they could already monitor river crossings, boats and access to the Pont d'Arc.
All along the hiking trail there are bollards that indicate the names of the vegetation.
The Chastelas promenade is well marked and easy to do. To discover alone, as a couple or as a family! Don't hesitate to ask us for more information and IGN cards for the ride.
